Youth Red Cross (YRC) , National Service Scheme(NSS) and Sports Club of Padua College of Commerce and Management participated in the ' Say No To Drugs- Walkathon' on 18th October 2024 at 2.30 P.M . The walkathon started from St. Aloysius College and concluded at Nehru Maidan. The total volunteers who participated from our college in this walkathon were 105. . This Walkathon organised by the Catholic Diocese of Mangalore in association with father Muller Charitable Institutions, St. Aloysius deemed to be University, St. Joseph's Engineering College and the Catholic Board of Education. The campaign aimed to raise awareness of the dangers of drug abuse and encourage young people to stay out of the clutches of drugs. The concluding ceremony, deputy police commissioner (law and order) Siddharth Goyal administered an oath to the students. Goyal called upon students to join hands to end the menace of drugs. DCP (crime and traffic) BP Dinesh Kumar, programme Louis J Pinto, Mangalore Diocese secretary John D'Souza, Father Muller Institutions director Richard Aloysius Coelho and others were present.
