In the season of lent Padua College of Commerce and Management celebrated ‘NATAKOTHSAVA’, wherein two Konkani plays were hosted in the Padua Campus. On 12th March 2017, ‘Gulamacho Siumh’ play was played by ‘Padua Ranga Adhyayana Kendra’ a part of Padua College. The play started with a small formal program were the guest were welcomed, everyone was thanked, Mr Sathish Ninasm was felicitated for his achievement, and the books translated from English to Konkani by Our Principal were released. The honorary guest on the dais were, Mangalore Bishop Rt. Rev. Fr. Dr. Aloysius Paul D’souza, our Correspondent Rev. Fr Antony Shera, the Seminary Rectar Mr. Joseph Martis and our Principal Rev. Fr. Alwin Serrao. The play was beautifully enacted by the students under the direction of Mr. Christopher D’souza.
On 19th March it was a double joy in Padua College of Commerce and Management as the new open stage was inaugurated and blessed by our Correspondent Rev. Fr Antony Shera. And the play ‘Pedru’ was staged on this new stage. This play was a one man play which where Mr. Christopher D’souza enacted the part of Peter .
Both the plays were based on the Bible and was staged with an intention of increasing the moral knowledge of people in the holy season of lent.
