Women's Forum in association with Human Rights Club, YRC and NSS of Padua College of Commerce and Management on the occasion of World Peace day organized an awareness and walkathon on 19th September 2024 at 10.00 A.M in Padua Campus. The main aim of organizing this program was to create awareness about the different oppression and repression of women and to empower women . The dignitaries for the inauguration program were Principal Rev. Fr. Arun Wilson Lobo, The Chief Guest Mrs. Mevis Rodrigues – Ex Secretary Bendur Parish Pastoral Council , Vice Principal Prof. Roshan Santhumayor , Women's Forum Coordinators Mrs. Deena Pinto and Prof. Thanuja , NSS Coordinator Prof. Shridhar , Human Rights Club Coordinators Mrs. Krithika. The Chief Guest Mrs. Mevis Rodrigues in her speech stressed the importance mother in our life . Advised the girls to not start a relationship in the college. She has also mentioned that we should not blame the Government for everything. Principal also addressed the gathering. After the formal program the students proceeded for the walkathon from Padua Campus to Kadri Park and return. The students were shouting the slogans for peace specially for the safety and empowerment of Women . The program was adjourned at 10.45 A.M
