Padua Educational Institutions comprising of Primary, High School, PUC and Degree College celebrated the 78th Independence day with splendor and Grandeur. There was a holy mass for catholic faculty and students at 8.15 A.M in the Chapel. Right After that the festivities began at 9.15 A.M in the Padua High School ground, the dignitaries our Correspondent Rev. Fr. Walter Dsouza, Campus Director Rev. Fr. Arun Wilson Lobo, and all the heads of different institutions were escorted by the School Band from the gate to the flag post, there was a flower offering to Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar after which the dignitaries proceeded to hoist our National Flag. There were other attractions like the patriotic song by PUC students and Patriotic Dance by School Children. The Correspondent gave the message that , " We need to liberate our minds and hearts and also should remember the sacrifice and hard work of the farmers". On the eve of Independence day all were distributed sweets.
